I had little time at lunch prior to venturing out for a range shoot, so I spent a few moments whipping up a few sandbags out of super clay. I have four spare Armourfast 17 Pounder Achilles that have been sitting around waiting for a bit of attention, and so decided to add them to the hull to dress them up a tad. Super Clay Sandbags

Does superclay = plasticine or is it a foray to the craft shop for some air-hardening clay?
Or is plain old Milliput good enough?
Hey mate, yep airdrying, but milliput would be just as good. Roll into sausages and cut with the modelling knife.

ReplyDeleteIf you roll a round-profile rat-tailed file over them once they have developed a crust, you'll get a faint pattern which comes out in the dry-brushing/weathering stage and gives a very Hessian/Burlap appearance.
