BEF 1940 C Coy
Having a weekend on the Queen, so that means plenty of modeling madness, well thats the plan anyway, and we all know how well a plan lasts on contact. Above C Company Command Stand with twin Matchbox figures. The Officer is a classic, sheepskin jackets seemed to be the rage for any disconcerting rupert in the forties and this character proves it.
Platoon Stand featuring Airfix's Bren and Matchbox conversion of a Commando. You have got to hand it to Airfix, this pose was released in 1960 and still takes some beating. And with the Matchbox pose you can almost feel the boondock in your shoulder, nice stuff.
Matchbox Platoon Stand, with one fifth of the 49 figures per set being these two riflemen I was bound to match these together at some stage...so sit back in your lazyboy and relax, here they are.
C Coy's last Platoon stand, again another Matchbox, and Airfix fest. The Bren gunner converted from the second type of Airfix Commando's, is rather better than the Matchbox equivalent I must say, but both are rare blighters, so I will take what I can get I suppose. D Coy still to come...
