BEF 1940 D Coy

Up to Delta Company with my First Battalion BEF 1940. I don't know about you but I have never liked any blighter from D Coy, they always seem full of themselves, once we had our bayonets, and entrenching tools removed to stop us from harming D Coy, mind you that was back in the day, 1986 or 87ish and I suppose those ratbags are almost human after all these years...but I digress. Above D Coy Command Stand, converted Airfix and Matchbox Commando's with helmets.
Platoon Stand with Matchbox Infantry.
Platoon stand again Matchbox Infantry.
Matchbox rear with Airfix Bren gunner in the foreground for this Platoon Stand. I am working on Support Company now, and of course the Second Battalion is well underway.

  1. I don't know why and I apologise if I'm wrong, but these look better than your usual painting...is it the extra light in the photos? Are you trying a new technique?

  2. Hi Easternfunker, it's funny you should say that, Al said the same thing to me yesterday. The technique has not changed, in fact some of those figures were painted two years ago...must have better a nice shot.

I did show Al the lighting and he was surprised that they came out as well as they did.

BTW, I am still having trouble posting on yours and Geordies blogs, insert raincloud here...

  3. I had grief trying to post to MiniatureZone for a week, so I think there's some odd things going around. If you normally use Firefox, try Internet Explorer - or vice versa. Otherwise, I don't know what to do!
