Ploddin On

I had Al from 20th Century Wargames around for a couple of hours last night. We had a think tank on our upcoming Battle for Calais event and discussed a few ideas concerning the Tables of Equipment needed. Good to catch up with the bootneck and hear some new ideas and swear words. We still have a little work to complete, but nothing that is not achievable. Carrying on, I have been busy with some Royal Naval Party Sailors above. Airfix LCM crew and added rifles.
Matchbox Krupp Protez and PAK 36.
Matchbox Panzer III's. These will be all in early war schemes.

  4. I think those Panzer III's are a bit late-issue for the Battle of France. I suggest taking the ammo bin off the back of the turret since those were a much later addition as far as I can tell.

A really nice colourscheme for the early-war Panzers is on the FoW website at the moment, a nice grey/brown mix. Looks pretty fancy.

  6. Cheers too all. Arquinsiel yep, I understand that they are a little late for the Fall of France, but I am thinking keep them on so I can use them for early to mid Eastern front.

I just cannot be too picky!

  7. Now now Al, the SNCO CSE is too compact now for swearing, if we dropped the yellow and red card phases we could fit it in.

A good Officer never needs to resort foul phrases, thats what the silent stare is for.

  9. As I recall, the MB Panzer III was the first of the new-fangled MB kits I built (in the mid '70s...) I have several in service with my Panzer Divisions, including some with side skirts from Esci kits (I'd previously retro-converted the Ecsi Panzer IIIs to early war versions!)

  10. I would take a Matchbox Panzer III over a ESCI one anytime. I loved the box cover as well.
