Well, 501st anyway, to celebrate I am running a little contest, simply name this AFV type pictured in this post along with its different models, and the manufacturer.
I have been building these over the last few days as a break from all the basing I have carried out over the last week or so, more than 100 since Friday...and not a photo posted. I am saving them up until I start finishing Units.
I don't know about it Paul, but I wish you all the best and, good luck on your 1000 posts' project! :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck to anyone playing!
T.
I did not realise myself until I looked at the sidebar. Cheers Mate!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all congrats to your 501`st post. Everyone was worth to read!
ReplyDeleteTo your little contest: I think the lower part is a Schützenpanzer Marder of the Bundeswehr, perhaps from Revell? But I don`t know wich turret. From a british "Warrior"?
Happy 501st post. I don't know what that model is.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I thought I was doing well when I got to 300!
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to say some late Development of the Argentine TAM, but given our history of interaction with them in the 'Profession of Arms' in recent years, I'm guessing we haven't been supplying them with Scorpion or Scimitar turrets!
It's not a Fox or 432B and it won't be the obvious answer (Marder?) so...I sort of give up!
The Aussies have put Saladin and Scorpion turrets on M113's in the past, have they started buying Marder chassis and fixing them with similar turrets? Seems daft when the original turret is so sophisticated and 'designed' for the parent vehicle...?
A really good puzzle...
Scorpian /scimitar...by Airfix I reckon :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500th post...keep it up.

Greets,
Hmmm, without resorting to Google (you'll have to trust me on the honour system here) I think it's a newish Revell (2000+) kit.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a West German (sorry modern post-wall German) IFV with its various cannon and gun versions
Closer than that I cannot say, moderns is something I lag about a decade behind on :(
WW2 1/3000 battleships is another matter ;)
Congrats on the mark. May it be the 1st of many.
ReplyDeleteWarrior, at least 4 mks that I can think of, cup holders optional:)
ReplyDeleteA sorpian /scimitar...model...Airfix? :-)
