Going though some of the comments from yesterdays post on the T34/85 Company, I noted what Maurice from http://minisfigs.blogspot.com/ said about them. "Maybe a bit of mud on the tracks, wheels and lower hull to make them look 'used'?"
I like to take on board what reasonable fellows have to say, after all I am a big boy now, and have pretty wide shoulders. So I decided to take a few shots of those two Fujimi kits in a different light to show that they do actually have a bit of weathering and crap on them.
Dusting was carried out a few years ago during a all night marathon (There was about 180 kits involved) with my old mate Spanky Dave on the end of a airbrush. The dust of choice is buff. Hope that it can be seen in a better light...so to speak.
Nice...good choice of background colour...they look really good !!! :-)

Yes, now it's much more visible :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks good to me mate, but I could see what Maurice was on about. The lighting and background didn't show it off enough.I use the Tamiya weathering stick on tracks now,its like a brown lipstick, looks the nuts.Shove some static grass in it and it looks like clodds of earth.
ReplyDeleteCheers fell's. Glad its a little clearer. These are built and painted for wargames, not display, so nuts to the static grass I am afraid.
ReplyDeleteDown and dirty with the Russians ;)
