Paul from Paul's Bods asked what the donkey was doing in the background of yesterdays post.
He is part of the support element of a Unit from the British Indian Army Brigade I have been constructing over the last month, in between other projects.
All figures and ass Matchbox from the ANZAC's set. I actually had quite a bit of fun painting my ass, so to speak...
The famous donkey!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a nice vignette!!
T.
I wondered where it was going. I´ve tried painting asses in the past but not suceeded, this one looks great. (you might be able to tell from my writing that I´ve got a cold and I´m a little horse at the moment;-))
ReplyDeleteCheers
Paul
One of the best parts of the old GW game "Gorkamorka" was talking about your Nob all the time.
ReplyDelete"So my Nob jumped off the trukk, ran accross the valley and crumped him with his choppa!" etc....
Very good.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice ass,he must work out!Nice set of figures that mix quite well with the airfix boy's.That base is very jungle like by the way, lots of leaf litter.
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteExcellent, nice jungle feel to things Paul :)
Did you use drybrushing on the ass, or have you used oils. (really need to be careful how i put that across)
ReplyDeleteCurrently doing an italieri 1:72 French Guard horse Artillery unit, and likewise finding it a challenge.
And Matchbox again. I can't say it enough, Gr8 figures. You've done an amazing job on them.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool, nice paint work on the donkey too.
ReplyDeleteCheers Thanos, GEM, Al and Bebedores. These Matchbox figures are fun to paint, and quite simple with nicely raised lines.
ReplyDeleteWest and Geordie, the material for the base is a mix of colours and bits from inside a hacky sack (would you believe)
Arquinsiel, nice comments about the knobs...I think!
LLM, I did not drybrush but used a black base coat with red/brown brick colour for the main colour and a pasty white for the undersides, nose and just under the eyes.
I did study lots of ass's on the net...purely for educational purposes of course.
Paul, I thought you sounded a little off.
