With my Christmas breakup hangover beginning to end I note in my inbox a email from Airfix on next years range. The new 1/76 Cromwell will be a highlight, as well as the welcome return of the T34 and Type 97 Chi Ha tanks. However I am yet to see the new WW2 British Infantry promised for this year yet...
Hmm, so Airfix is actually coming with a really new new kit? Instead of just another re-release of their old stuff? Wonderful, hopefully the quality will be good :)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree on the quaility Maurice.
ReplyDeleteYes, I got excited over this too, even though the once impossible in plastic Cromwell comes in a Revell kit
ReplyDeleteI am hoping Airfix have just not bought the Revell mould as it looks remarkably similar (Note: Cullen hedgecutter and engine cover at the back)
Yet to spot the the new released 1/76 trucks in my local shops though
Also of note:
1/1200 Sink the Bismarck kit
1/600 Repulse
1/76 T34
:)
Geordie, I would think this is a new tooling as it is in 1/76 as opposed to Revell's 1/72 kit. Given the scale perhaps a JB Models tooling that had not been finished or released?
ReplyDeleteCROMWELLLLLLLLL! WOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteI love that tank. Still getting a Revell to go with my HaTs though.
Arquinsiel, the Revell one will impress you compared to the HAT kits.
ReplyDeleteMerry Xmas.
Sorry Paul, but we may not compare Revell with Haet kits!
ReplyDeleteHaets babies are fast assembly and with very little detail, which imo the best solution for wargames!
But Revell, especially Revell Germnay is making very good models!
Merry Christmas to All!
