Matchbox T-80B MBT

More off track business here, this kit has been lying around for a few years now and needed to be included in my Musorian force's ORBAT. One of the very last of the Matchbox line to be produced, I am sure it was actually a Revell kit. In fact I am sure it can still be brought as a updated T-80 kit by them.
Stage by stage construction, nice fit here.
Engine rear cover.
Some simple assembly required for the main drive wheels.
Nice and clean moulds, no flash at all.
Easy assembly up until here, injection tracks were next...

  1. Looks like a nice kit. The final photo looks astonishingly similar to Airfix Centurion! aybe it's just my eyes...

  2. Hi Tim, strangely enough I thought the same thing when I was building it. In fact I had a quick look in the spares box for some Centurion wheels to add onto the body to act as some eye candy...none to be found. I should build the Chieftan and note the differences.

  3. Perhaps they were exchanging blueprints during the cold war. . . ;-)
Waiting eagerly to see it finished Paul!!
