I have managed to get myself a little off track from Plane Month, sometimes a change is as good as a holiday. For about four years I have had a few packets of Revell Modern German Armoured Infantry and Paratroopers sitting around waiting for their call to arms, and last night they were given a primer coat and flesh, then tonight a drybrush of ochre as a base to a Camouflage pattern.I have long toyed around a semi modern project and lately have been building a force of equipment and figures to create a Order of Battle for a fictional country, Musoria springs to mind. I have quite a stash of 1980's-90's US forces that do not get any game time and I need to correct this. While 1980's Soviet and Warsaw Pact troops are out there in plastic, the vehicles and armour can be quite expensive down here in the colonies so with my limited budget they may be out of reach.
Where this might lead I do not know, but it does make a refreshing change from the WW2 armies. More to follow on this as things progress.
Let's have some close-ups of these please. You're a braver man then me - attempting to paint Flecktarn in 20mm (or indeed any other scale!). Let me know if you need any photos of the real thing - I have a full set of Fleck kit for airsofting.

Great sets but the cammo is a pain in the arse to get right.I have only ever seen one or two figures painted up so I look forward to seeing them finished.
ReplyDeleteGents, cheers for the comments. I have not yet been convinced to paint the figs in Flecktarn as of yet and I am considering other options. Flecktarn seems like a nightmare scheme to get right.
ReplyDeleteClose ups please... But they do look good.
ReplyDeleteNice goung Paul
Hi GEM, yes closeups to come once I sort out a pattern.I am impressed myself at the detail of these figures.
