Soviet Meduim SU Firing Batteries

While construction begins for "Plane Month" I continue the build up of my WW2 Soviet forces. So after a probably wasted weekend spent in the garden I bring to you two Firing Batteries (Medium) of SU 85 guns.
Maker was Fujimi and from what I can remember this was actually a fun build that was hassle free. Revell figure in hatch.
Again mudguards removed, and I am sure that I swapped some wheels over from another T34 to mix it up a bit. The 85mm gun is lethal to most German AFV's.
Rear view of the engine deck. Lots of room for HAT's new Tank Riders set. Back to the loft for Plane Month.

  1. I like the look of assault guns. They look like the name suggests..aggresive, more so than tanks. The german stugs..the name suggests a thug like attitude :-)
Looking good...I might bung up one of my Tanks later...well my only tank :-(

PS...what were you doing in the garden...clearing snow?
    Cheers

  3. Paul, I have never really sat down to think about the StuG/Thug connection, no doubt someone reading this will write a thesis on it now.

I think you need to buy some more tanks, one is never enough!

Snow! Here in a tropical rain forest! No mate its getting on mid to late 20's (celsius) here, in fact we had about 2mm of rain today which is the most we have had for around 3-4 weeks.
