T80 Tank Commander

Construction on the Matchbox T80 is drawing to a close with the paint drying as I type. I shall look at some decals tomorrow, just a three digit numeral shall suffice. Al asked about what I was using for a crew figure, so here he is...Markov an ex ESCI Warsaw Pact Tank crewman.
I painted the half that you actually see, then cut off his base. Grabbing a lump of bluetac I stuffed it into the bottom of the commanders hatch in the turret, then pressed Markov in. I think he will be happy in there, well I have heard no complaints as of yet...

  1. Very good Paul. The little chap looks quite at home, and I'm sure the Musorian Army has an open and user-friendly employee complaints programme...

If Markov complains about his new job...tell him he´ll be standing in front of the tank....without a base to stand on :-)
Looking good and a nice pile of Panthers btw.
    Cheers

  5. Nice work, good shading on the uniform. Maybe for the next figure you can bend the arms a bit so that he can hold on to the hatch :)

  7. Thanks for the comments on Markov, he said it was nice to know he was loved. I actually like finding uses for figures that are just lying around.

Maurice I am far to lazy to mess around with his rms, but I did spot another figure from that set that I will spend a little time on.
