A Box Full Of Churchills

Okay I know it's Truck Month and I have been battling away with the Roden Opel Blitz tonight in a hopeless attempt to construct the cabin to some degree of correctness. However this week has been a bust model-wise as I have been stuck in audits and meetings etc after hours, so I will post this shot of something else that has been lurking on the table for too long.
Airfix and Matchbox Churchills that need to be fixed up and completed. Most are not to bad but will need some new guns to covert them from the Mortar version.
The cooks birthday tomorrow so that will bugger the weekend for much progress as well since we are going away.
Model on!

  1. Thats a lot of Churchills. 2.3 Army Tank Brigades in Megablitz terms. I'm sure you'll have them all up and running in no time.

  3. Hi Tim, I think I may get 2 Sqn's and a command element out of this lot.

It's all a question of scale. You are a megalomaniac - I am a dangerous megalomaniac.

  7. Oh mate, no sign of any melt at all. Some will be 20-30 yrs old.

Perhaps the paint on them offers some protection.

  8. I keep meaning to build the Airfix kit, just to see how horrible it is.

It's mad how much the Churchill turret looks like the Cromwell turret when seen in isolation.
