Decaling carried out this morning, and this baby is finished. I used the Airfix decals provided and they look the part I think.
Not to happy about the rear red cross decal as it covers most of the detail of the door handles.
I left the main red cross off the top of the roof as I am a lazy git and should have applied before the air ducts on the roof. That being said I am happy with the look of it. Even the cook was happy with it!
I like it...a truck with style. I know what you mean about decals covering detail up. Sometimes whne I build a plane the decals cover the gap on the flaps up etc. A pain but unless I develope a miraculous skill at free hand insignia painting...I´ll have to suffer. Cheers paul
I like it, very authentic
ReplyDeleteCheers mate. Eye candy for the table I suspect/
ReplyDeleteThe paint scheme looks very effective - great job.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, I like it!

Thanks Tim and Mork. Easy scheme I might add!
ReplyDeletePaul, I cut the rear decal in half to place it on the doors.
ReplyDeleteI probably could have cut out some more and painted the missing area.
I too am insignia handicapped...The shame!
