The second post of the day due to a nice fine spell, has seen the end to this rebuild and paint.
The circled three on the side is due to the common US theme being to camouflage everything then paint nice bright letters or number on the item.
This M163 will fill the role of the AA platoon vehicle in a US/ROK table of equipment in CD3 terms.
The 12 ton disc is a little optimistic, as the combat weight is around 12.5 tons, still you have to work with what you have got. Foliage from my tobacco packet as per normal.
Close up of the gunner. Just a random US figure I had in the spares box. The helmet was that bad it actually looked like a bone dome so that's what it got painted as. Gunner in OD tankers overalls. Sweet looking kit if I do say so myself, and I now move back onto the rest of the Support Company vehicles.
Beautiful, Absolutely great work, Paul!
ReplyDeleteCheers Mork. I think you can tell by my models which ones I actually enjoy working on.

I like the camo, it's one of your best model! Superb!
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul and Yori. The MERDC is quite simple actually, and being rather random it helps to cover mistakes in the pattern.
ReplyDeleteSuperb camo
ReplyDeleteNice model
Cheers mate.
ReplyDeleteYep, one of your best yet mate, the inclusion of the crew figure really makes it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Al. Nice to find a bod to place in it actually.
