ESCI M901 ITV

Next on the list for re-firb and a step back in time to the 80's is the fairly rare M901 'Hammer-head" Improved TOW Vehicle (ITV). Carrying twin TOW launchers, this adds quite a distance punch to your infantry forces.
Nice flat black primer, as per usual.
And the start of the MERDC (Tropical/Temperate) scheme. I had a bit of trouble with the launcher frame on this and almost glued it into the stowed position. I am glad I didn't as I like the odd look of it. I can also in a pinch use it as a M981 FISTV (Fire Support Team Vehicle) as it looks just like the M901 as well.

  1. Wow, you have a lot of models and posts. I applaud your consistency.

I'm in the US, but I'm curious where find most of your WWII vehicles? Do you buy old sets, meaning oop, or all brand new models?

    Great site.

  2. Hi Todd, most of my kits are brought new, but I do pick up lots of 2nd hand kits and already built from online auction websites and rebuild them or repaint.

    I like to recycle plastic!

As for the consistency...lots of fuff and a little guff. I find that posting progress helps keep me motivated and on track.

    Cheers for the interest.

    Regards Paul

  3. Paul the ''machine''!! :-)
That should be your middle name mate! As Todd said, your consistency is really something!
Even though I am simply ignorant about modern warfare, I can evaluate what a good looking model looks like. And yours, is a great looking model!!

  4. Not bad at all. Good thing I was able to get a hold of one of these off ebay a little while ago. :-)

  5. Hi Chris. You are quite lucky as I have not seen one of these for a while.

I remember about 1989 ordering a couple of these and other ESCI kits and finding out that the company had gone broke.

Almost broke my heart! Still am hoping Italeri re-release some of the other M113 variants.

    Cheers Paul
