Hubba Hubba

By chance last week I stumbled across a set of mint Matchbox NATO Paratroops on an online auction that had just been listed. I was lucky enough to be only the fifth person to see it and since it had a very attractive low buy now price (20.00NZD) I snapped it up.
I have been after a full set of these babies since Adam was a cowboy and would have quite happily given my first born for a set. Fortunately for the boy this was not needed, and joy upon joy it arrived today.
I believe these are made for playing with so the thought of hoarding them away and selling them for a profit or keeping them for a collection piece sickens me, so with baited breath I cut the cellophane wrapping and breathed in the aroma of new plastic that had not been smelt since 1983.
Lovely stuff, only one shortened barrel. Even the crappy mortars did not dull my mirth.
While that cook said 'that's nice dear' I totally ignored her for the rest of the night, instead concentrating on my one true love...
Particularly happy to have some Command figures.
I can now die happy as all my goals in life have been reached, except for that set of British Modern (1970's/80's) Para's. Oh rock on you small plastic army men!
