In a final spurt of energy I managed to finish my trio of Airfix's M551 Sheridan recon vehicles tonight.

Looking justifiably grubby I decided that it was appropriate to dirty them up as in the next phase of Al and myselfs Korea 1985 campaign.

After watching video footage of the main gun being fired and the tremendous recoil involved, I added sandbags to the front of the hull to help counter balance the shock and of course to help with those nasty rocket propelled grenades, that pop up from time to time.

In all their MERDC glory I am going to have to use these tracks very wisely as they cannot be treated as main battle tanks on the table.

I texted Al last night asking for his advice on whether I should apply 82nd Airborne or 17 Cavalry decals, strangely for someone who professes his pity for anything to do with craphats he wanted Airborne! The times sure are a changing!
I then promptly applied mud all over them. Poetic justice one suspects.
These look great!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with Airborn also!

Hi Al. Look for these during the epic battle of Seoul.
ReplyDeleteNice. If the Shillelaghs work those NK T-72s will have another bad day.
