Cold War Austria 1952 Endgame

Continuing on from my other posting on the liberation of Austria from the Capitalistic scum, we have the RAF finally getting onto the board to drop off two Companies of Infantry towards the rear of my forward edge of battle. My AA stand missed the Squadron as they inserted.
Meanwhile to the south my T34/85 Company again engaged the Centurion force with great results. Another Troop burns.
The shear mass of my Infantry Battalions overrun British Anti Tank guns in the Village.
Another Squadron of British tanks appear on the field. These Comets were located in the centre of the table and their 77mm guns proved to be a curse against my T34's.
British Infantry finally advance towards the Village I seized with my T34's. By now my Infantry had also marched in and prepared to fight to the last Georgian to hold it
Slower progress was being made in the other village but my numbers were pushing the Tommies out house by house.
The surviving Centurion Troop retreats (Runs) as its Squadron burns.
But what is this marker moving around the edge of the table, attracting no attention at all?
After disgorging its Infantry the RAF disengage for fear of my roving Mig 15 flight.
The mystery marker is revealed to be a Company of T54's well to the rear of the British lines and heading for Paris.
My BA scout Platoon arrives to reinforce Infantry in a village an to over watch any British moves to the Flank.
A Company of my Engineer's prepare to halt British intentions in the centre.
While to the rear a lone British Recon Platoon is stranded after the Soviet line advances.
The last British Infantry Battalion appears in the Farming area. They spend most of the game time smoking.
The final British push is a Infantry attack against my southern Village.
Here the British attack stalls and being after 3am Al and I call it a night.

The result was pretty much a draw, with both sides gains being counteracted by the other. Still we both had fun and the beer intake was legendary as per normal.

Cheers Al for a great game, and super hospitality.

  8. Because when Al tells me how awesome school teaching is compared to herding meat at the Gulag I get to remind him of just what he is supposed to be doing after school.
