ICM BTR-60P

I picked this up the other week online for a reasonable price and it arrived yesterday. First looks and online reviews look good for this kit, and besides my Red's need a Command vehicle to prance around in.

  1. Of course, on the way to the ballet everyone prances!

Since Al are the reds at the moment it would break my heart to tell him he struts, prancing however is spot on.

  2. Marines do neither prance nor strut, that would be paratroopers you're thinking of, yobs!

  3. It's the open top version, so I'm sure there's room enough for some prancing.

  4. Oh Al, such indignation is bereft of your stature.

Good times mate, good times, always love a honest wind up.

  5. Surely Tim, a whole troop could move in a spirited manner among the cabin seating.

    Rock on!

  6. Maybe you should forget it being the command vehicle and make it the transport for the NKPA Folk Dancing Display Team. It'll make something interesting for the Hind to crash on.

  7. Hi! A good set, I like it. It can be used on the SA and the BB, and MF on the Marines. Only once have to say to replace the brackets under the awning on metal, but they are very brittle.

  8. Doublecheck the fine/thin pieces are still intact, and remove anything looking fine/thin/delicate from the sprues VERY VERY CAREFULLY.

  9. I've read many of your past battles, what rules sets do you use for your WW2 games? some look like they are 1:1 scale. I really enjoy reading your blog you have put a lot of great work into it.

  10. Some good points Tim. I will take this up with Al, hes always looking for new projects on odd sub units.

I take it you have seen the NKPA marching girls.

  11. МаксимС , cheers for that. You can bet that lots of small fiddly parts will be missing from my wargame model

  12. Cheers Easternfunker. As above, my kit will be very basic. My days are better spent enjoying myself rather than using a microscope to construct a kit!

I have read reviews on this kit saying the same thing.

    Regards Paul

  13. Hi Dream Contagion. I use Command Decision 3 for WW2 as well as the old Airfix Rules.

And Command Decision Modern for you guessed it Modern gaming.

Thanks for your kind comments. I try my best and enjoy it most of the time. Perhaps it shows.

    Model on!
