I managed to paint this this morning before heading off into the trenches.

A nice choice of decals were supplied in the kit, but boy oh boy are they fragile!

Minor weathering and worn metal was applied after the main coat of green.

So ends a nice easy build, an a good addition to the red faction.
Very nice. And very, very quick. How do you do it?

I have learned to use my time well, keep the wheels greased and only sleep four hours a night.
ReplyDeleteI also tend to do 5 mins here, then 5 mins there...Until the jolly item is complete.
Very effective. Aren't kits quick to build when the parts fit properly?
ReplyDeleteAh. Good work that man.
ReplyDeleteActually, that's not too dissimilar with how I got through the second company of Kiwis. Though it was more like 40 minutes here, 40-60 minutes there...
Oh to be able to survive on but 4 hours sleep a night!
Nick
Yes Tim, its all downhill from here...I have seen the elephant in Craptech kits.
ReplyDeleteWell Nick, its taken years of practice to get to the four hour fix down to pat.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when modelling and painting little is more.
Cheers mate
That´s a very nice and interesting looking vehilce. It has tones of the WWII german hanomags but with wheels at the rear instead of tracks
ReplyDeleteA bit of copying from the russians???
Cheers
paul
delicious :)
ReplyDeleteErhan
Great looking car,Those Russian models are not the easiest makes to build, but your turn out nice again!
ReplyDeleteCheers Rich.
Hi Paul, yes you are dead right about that although I can see the M3 scout car front with Hanomag shell and GMC deuce and a half chassis.
ReplyDeleteNice one
Thanks Erhntly, it is rather tasty mate.
ReplyDeleteIt is a simple one Rich, I lucked out!
ReplyDeleteI like the retro russian, nicely done.
ReplyDeleteVery nice -- looks good!
ReplyDeleteI like this russian stuff. Well done, Paul!
ReplyDeleteCheers Lurker, the retro thing appeals to myself as well. Painting everything green is also popular!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bard.
ReplyDeleteHi Mork, I cannot take to much credit, the kit basically built itself mate.
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul
