The final moves of the first stage of the battle of Seoul, with ROK Infantry holding the line at the Railway Station.

Meanwhile the ROK Homeland Defence Battalion, starts to look for support and moves towards the US Airborne Battalion. Lightly equipped, they are out on a limb.

On the other side of the Railway Station Al's full Infantry Regiment has half the table by himself. He starts to move the weight towards ROK/US entrenchments.

Al decides to throw a full Battalion into the US Troops. They are slaughtered and the survivors pinned on wire entanglements. The streets run red!

The last moves for the first stage saw armour allowed to be introduced. Al's pick was a slightly understrength T55/54 Battalion.

While I move up my Troop of M551 Sheridans, they will firstly support the ROK Homeland Defence Battalion, then centre the US line from red armour attacks. The 152mm missiles need to be tested in the field.

A few people have asked for a good look at the table and a map.

This last photo shows the placement of troops and units at the final move that night. Next week we continue the battle.
What's this?

T.
Great stuff and a great table layout.
ReplyDeleteA very busy table! Looks a good game - particlularly nice to see the Sheridans in action. Good report too - apart from the probably unintentional humour ("...holding the line at the railway station...") Very good.
ReplyDeleteAnother good one and a cliff hanger. Thanks for the map, coan follow it better now. I look forwqard to the next instalment.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff -- I've really enjoyed reading all of these reports.
ReplyDeleteThanks Thanos, such angry language!
ReplyDeleteCheers Lurker, the rop sheet has flowers on it, not that you notice them easily.
ReplyDeleteHi Tim, I did intent for it to be quite busy as each turn then sees some action. I too am looking forward to the Sheridan experience.
ReplyDeleteAl on the other hand is not!
Irqan, no worries. Next instalment next week.
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul
