Olive Drab applied.

Not well seen here, but rubber on wheels and tracks painted.

To get the most of the kit I have grabbed a old Matchbox Sherman Firefly turret from the spares box. I intend to have two turrets available for this kit, thus it will be able to cover a range of periods and tasks.

Turret is painted to the same base colour. I really love the profile of the 17 Pounder equipped Sherman.

Some sandbags attached to the front, to stop it looking so naked. So far so good.
I have a nice selection of broken Shermans on my table at the moment. Yours is a pristine low mileage example by comparison.
ReplyDeleteIt must be said that I have a few more Shermans lying about, but this was sitting at the top.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed in pristine order compared to the rest.
"I really love the profile of the 17 Pounder equipped Sherman."
ReplyDeleteMe too. The 17 pounder makes the Sherman look like it really means business.
Quite true Bard, better than a pop gun the Mk1 model came out with.
ReplyDeleteNive, and I mean very nice touch with the sandbags
ReplyDeleteYes Geordie, it hides most mistakes which is the intent.
