Emhar Whippet - Endstate

Spending twenty minutes here and there over the weekend I managed to bring the Christmas Whippet to an endstate of sorts.
Given the conditions of the Western front in the final years of the First World I wanted it to have a muddy dirty look.
I also wanted it fairly oily, however in some places I overdid it I think. My bottle of wash is nearly empty and not as consistent as I thought it would be.
Decals were from the set, and they have a good range to choose from. I gave this Whippet a mixture to keep it fairly generic.
I suppose I will have to wrap it now, that could take longer than the actual construction.

Model on!

  1. 'Christmas Whippet'? Makes a change from turkey I suppose...
Nice work though - and for what it's worth, 'oily' is a good look.

  3. Nice looking Whippet Paul. Did I see that you scored some more on TM today? I see there is another set with , a whippet, a Mk4 and an A7V amongst other stuff. I think I might get this one too.

  4. Very nicely (and quickly done). You put the rest of us to shame. What rule set do you use for WWI?

  8. Cheers Irqan, I enjoy the mud application process myself, it must be the artistic licence kicking in.

  10. Hi Dimitri, thanks mate. WW1 is more Al's Forte, although I have dabbled in a game or two with him.

Command Decision is the ruleset, not too sure on the version.

  14. Hi Rich I will leave that idea up to the new owner. As it was in the last months of the war when it arrived I had too be wary about over doing it.

    Cheers Paul
