1980's Cold War British Bn Pt4 Support Coy

The final posting about the 1980's British Infantry Battalion. Above the Battalion Command Stand and Land Rover. Matchbox figure.
The Anti Tank Platoon equipped with L6 WOMBAT, as seen in a previous post.
SFMG Platoon. The tripod mount not evident as I used the Revell SFMG for my 1980's Royal Marine Battalion.
81mm Mortar Platoon, and transport. Hotch potch Mortar made from spares.
Recon Platoon and transport. Both Matchbox NATO Para's.
Pioneer Platoon, Revell German Pioneer with swapped legs, cut away equipment and a trimmed hat to try and make it look like a crap hat. I also added the roll of wire. The other figure is one of those Matchbox Superking figures that came with the diecast vehicles in the 70's and 80's. I replaced the head an helmet.
The Full Battalion, heroes every one of them!

Model on!

  4. Very cool Paul. Looks like a Crossfire company with support! Ohh, but I wouldn't half like to do Cold War gone hot!

  5. Very nice figures, but I'm wondering why they are so glossy? A little to much IMHO.

    Cheers

  8. Hi Thomas, they are glossy due to the protective coat. These are for throwing around on the table rather than treasuring. A wash will tone them down a tad.

    Giddy up.
