This is what I started with, I had finished it and painted in a scheme about four or five years ago, however I had not painted in the tracks, rubber etc...And no decals had been added. Over the period of storage and an odd battle or two the tracks have broken and I have been a little remiss on doing anything about it.
So I fixed the tracks to a wavering degree of success, and painted in the MG's, rubber on the wheels and tracks. I found some very old ESCI decals and wacked those on as well. I then finished it off with a brown wash.
Even after the brown wash it looks far too bright compared to the other Fujimi Mk IV I had washed with black, so I washed over the wash with another wash, a black wash this wash.
The compared tanks both with a black wash, much better.
The side skirts really give the MkIV some bulk at I suppose at a distance the 'boxy'shape would have been quite easy to mistake for a Tiger I.
This tank will see some action tonight with Kampfgruppen Klarke as part of a Tank Company.
The figure is a Fujimi job and very basic, I could not be naffed with painting any detail on it.
Progress has been blooming good this week, and this finishes off my Company.
Model on!

Your productivity this week has been breathtaking! Bring on the game report.
ReplyDeleteGood weather, and the return of some programmes on the telly lets me escape to the loft more often.
DeleteI have also not been buying hardly anything, which has made finish off 1/2 build or painted projects which would account for the quick turn around time.
I always model on...
Pretty damn good mate! Needed the second wash. Great work.
ReplyDeleteHi Rodger, I know that first wash was just too weak. Experiment with that colour is over!
DeleteGood work and with the game as well...
ReplyDeleteCheers Fran AAR on the way!
DeleteWorks for me :)
