Dragon 1025 HUMMWV Part 2

Just in case you are still itching for more HUMMWV action I have finished the second kit from the box.
Like the first one, this has been awaiting completion for a couple of years.
I had some issues with the top mating with the bottom deck at the rear. I have hid this with a camo net.
The poles for the net are cut down toothpicks that may be a little large.
Rather than use the M2, I mounted a M240 GPMG.
I stole the net from the lads lego pirate set and cut it down a bit.
Normal weathering and wear and tear with an alloy paint. Tac sign from the spares box. Revell Challenger kit I think.
Lovely detail in these kits. Not a bad price really either.

Model on!

  2. Very nice. I have a load of 6mm HUMMWVs with various attachments awaiting my attention. I must dig out some I've already done and get some photos posted.

  4. Very nice set of twins ;) You could use thicker wire instead of toothpicks, but they look quite nice anyway.

  5. Great job and finish on those, a dirty vehicle is a working vehicle.

Good choice of background for the photos too, that Airfix Farmhouse looks good.

    1. Cheers John. Japanese Uniform makes a nice crappy mud colour that just seems to be starting to flake off.

The Farmhouse is an old favourite I must confess and has been my standby prop for a few years now.
