Introducing the second in my M1 Abrams programme.
Ex Dragon diecast, which had been painted in a desert scheme. Like the previous Abrams I repainted into a mid 1980's look...Entering service in 1986 it squeaks in for Al and I's gaming.
Normal weathering applied.
The mine plow is a sweet addition and makes for better eye candy on the table.
I attached the same limited markings as with the previous M1.
Of course when operating the mine plough you have to traverse the turret as not to damage the main tube.
The only thing better than one M1 is two M1's. These now make a understrength Company in CD terms...But not for long, as my third M1 is on the table.
Model on!

Looking forward to photos of the third M1 tomorrow Paul!! Sorry, couldn't help myself. Great work there mate. Does look cool with the mine plow.
ReplyDeleteNice work they fit well together.
ReplyDeleteSo in CD terms what does 60 M1s
constitute?(yes they are all
in MERDOC) ;-)
Good work Paul!
ReplyDeleteProbably tonights post Rodger! The plow does give it a bit of umphoof.
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul
Dear Don
ReplyDeleteI have written to the Doctor about your problems so expect help to arrive soon...60 M1's!
60 @ about 10 per Bn (CD Terms) = 6 Bns, given 2 Bns per Mech Inf Bde and you are into Division type status.
You scare both me and your neighbours Don, I will have to rearm!
I was shooting to reproduce the 1st Cav Division...Nice to know I'm close...)
DeleteThat's just the army mind you my USMC
has 30.
Crikey Don, I think the USMC only have about 400 in service.
DeleteYou may the total inventory for them (Once broken down in CD terms).
I would normally say model on, but I think you need to slow down!
Ok I'll transfer a few, I'm retired army so I tend to do my MTOs with that mind set!
DeleteTransfer some to Aussie and give them the way cool Auscam scheme.
DeleteThat will keep everyone happy.
I'll have to look up the Auscam scheme.
DeleteThanks Monty. Not as nice as your T34 though!
