Quick post today with a Platoon Air Defence stand for my Cold War US Forces.
Caesar figure with a fairly simple looking conversion from a LAW type weapon into the MANPADS (How silly is that name?) Stinger.
The M60 Gunners is of course from the ESCI Modern US Infantry set.
He has a paint conversion concerning his lower arms...I painted them.
Simple enough stand to make, Al's commie Hinds better watch out!

Great conversion Paul, some formations may have whole companies of AD attached I think?

ReplyDeleteI like my Platoon stands to have two figures Tim. Given that it is a weapons type Platoon I thought I had better add in something a little more heavy than a rifle.
DeleteI have made a Blowpipe for my Brits, and probably will add a .50 Cal on a AA mount for them. I always remember a photo of a AA .50 mounted at San Carlos bay for air defence.
Good for taking crap out of the beautiful skies....
