Incoming!

A quick post on a most stormy night, to update the state of my acquisitions over the past month or so. Starting off with this lovely ESCI SdKfz 251 Rocket launcher. I swapped a Matchbox Hanomag for this with scratch builder Gerard Davy from Hokitika. A bloomin good deal I thought!
I also purchased from Gerard four sheets of plastic card for the practically giving away price of $20 NZD. I will share this with Al so we can compare disasters. The blob at the centre bottom is a Airfix StuG I have been working on to show the scale.
And finally my only new model type purchase for the year so far is this box of Caesar German para's. I plan for these to compliment the Airfix German para's that Tim supplied with late last year. These look very nice and I am well impressed.

Not much to report really, but I am taking it easy this year on purchases and getting on with building what I have.

Model on.

    1. Hi Steve, yes I have been after one of these for quite some time, but was not willing to pay the blackmail prices.

  2. Watch the individual rocket 'crates' on that kit - they are very fiddly. Happily there are many photos showing just the launcher frames fitted without the crates - so that's always an option....

  3. Money's too tight to mention Paul!
After all, it's good to reduce the height of the stack of models we have in our rooms!!
    Good luck with those!

  7. That Esci kit is superb.

"I am taking it easy this year on purchases and getting on with building what I have" ..... I made that promise to myself too this New Year Paul, and I finally broke it and came home with a box of the new Airfix British infantry that my local hobby shop has just stocked up on.

Okay there is no thinking about it...I will buy a packet if they ever get released down here.

  8. Excellent gains there Paul. The sheets of plastic card is a really good deal. I was thinking they were A4 size, but they are huge!
