I have noticed that with everyone's spares box postings that an important part of the spares factor has been missed.
Of course I am talking about the decals box. I never throw a any spare decals away, they are pure gold when you need them.
I use a shoe box, however I would like to bring into service a photo album type of system so my exploration adventures are shortened.
Model on!

A photo album type thing would be a good idea, to keep dirt and moisture away from them while in storage. I just keep mine in a re-sealable plastic folder type thingy, does the job too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a couple of photo albums worth....
ReplyDeleteOK - now you have escalated this exchange to a whole new level. Don't say you weren't warned...
ReplyDeletethat's some accumulation

My decal box has them all sorted by nationality and for the Germans turret numbers, Div signs and number plates
ReplyDeleteHave you though about using stamp collectors 'stock-books'? They have little cellophane strips stretched across the page to hold stamps in, you could place even a big sheet of transfers in one of the lower strips on the page with smaller pieces higher-up, arranged thematically like er...stamps!
ReplyDelete!!!! What!! ? how the!!? There must be tons there..enough to wallpaper a sitting room!! A stamp album is better than a photo album..the plastic sheeting in a photoalbum can yellow the decals well quick and it´s easier to get them out as well.

ReplyDeleteCome on Tim, we all have our problems, no need to outshine anyone...Hopefully
ReplyDeleteHi Alan, they are probably my most used asset.
ReplyDeleteHi Will. You sound like you have a functionable SOP.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous.
Nail on the head comment Hugh, I did not even think about the stamp collecting books.
ReplyDeleteNice one.
