The next Jadgpanzer rebuild has been completed. This was my son's foliage covered model, and it was a €@!!&$*)# to remove.
The kit was well coated in enamel paint and me being a lazy git I could not be bothered spending too much time to remove it. I decided to make the most of the lost detail and keep the whole kit rough and ready.
I cut some of the side shields up and added some battle damage.
Anti ditching log applied.
The plastic on the shields bends quite well, so I decided to include that as well. White cross on a jerrican means water only, just as well this close to the exhausts...Cuppa anyone?
Finished off by a dark dirty wash. Two make a under-strength Company.
Model on!

Damn good restoration work sir.....
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran, who seems to be always first to comment!
DeleteGreat job on this one Paul. Like the damaged skirts too.
ReplyDeleteCheers Rodger. I have seen pictures of them hanging on by only one bolt, hence the effect.
DeleteRegards Paul
Definitely looks like it has been in the wars - looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. Surviving the boy is effort enough!
DeleteBattered and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCheers Geordie. Better than cute mate.
DeleteNow there's a vehicle that looks as though it has seen quite a bit of the world - and the world has seen it back! Battlescarred and battered, maimed and mean: watch it!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Ion
Thanks Ion, I think the world has more than bit it back.
DeleteI think you have to be a little careful when showing damage, too much and you can border on fantasy.
Regards Paul
They look really cool! I like what you did with the skirts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mojo, simple ideas work best I think, and they cut an bend nicely. I used long nosed pliers.
DeleteCheers Paul
Excellent restoration of that tank!
ReplyDeleteI just have my thought about that water jerrycan on the back. Isn't the motor there? Maybe they want to make some tee after the ride.
Greetings
