Lastly the Command Stand for my feisty Pioneers.
The pose of course is from the Revell Engineers set, and a lovely pose it is.
I do not know how practical these trousers were, but the certainly typecast any Officer pose.
And with his transport, Kubelwagon from Airfix. A tough little model for a tough looking bloke.
Model on!

Nice! I like the kubelwagon too! I really enjoy your Pz-Gren pioneer "series". Perhaps one group shot when you have the time?
ReplyDeleteHi Jonathan, I will post a group shot later in the week before I put them to bed.
DeleteNice blog by the way, added to my blogroll.
Nicely painted Paul.
ReplyDeleteTha base with the fig and the binoculars (and the barell) is really nice!
T.
He has a Commanding Presence T!
DeleteOh very cool!
ReplyDeleteCheers Nick.
DeleteClearly a graduate of the 'Hollywood School for stereotypical German officers'. Very effective. What's the mileage on that Kubel?
ReplyDeleteHi Tim
DeleteA fellow made several attempts to sell his old car. He was having a lot of problems finding a buyer because the car had 340,000 miles on it. He discussed her problem with a woman that he worked with at a bar.
The woman suggested, "There may be a chance to sell that car easier, but it's not going to be legal."
"That doesn't matter at all," replied the guy. "All that matters is that I am able to sell this car."
"Alright." Then in a quiet voice, she told him, "Here is the address of a friend of mine. He owns a car repair shop around here. Tell him I sent you, and he will turn the counter back on your car to 40,000 miles. Then it shouldn't be a problem to sell your car."
The following weekend, the man took a trip to the mechanic on the woman's advice.
About a month later they saw each other again. She said, "Hey, did you sell your car?"
"No!" replied the guy. "Why should I? It only has 40,000 miles on it."
Brilliant Paul. Another masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteMasterpiece is a little rich Rodger. Cheers.
DeleteYup very stereotypical German officer pose but very cool all the same!
ReplyDeleteYep I could not miss him out!
DeleteFantastic speed in assembling models, and great result with them. Me like kubelwagen! :)
